Meet Featured After 35 Mom Kisha Giddis!

Kisha has a 21 yr old girl and a a 17 ur old boy. At age 37, after years of not thinking of having any more children, they were blessed with a little girl who is now 2 yrs old. Towards the end of that pregnancy she was diagnosed with preeclampsia and labor was induced. After a 4 day induction, a cesarean section was performed. She was born healthy weighing 6 lbs 15 ounces. During her more recent pregnancy at age 39, she was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and towards the end of the pregnancy she developed high blood pressure. However, her son was born completely healthy via repeat cesarean section at 38 weeks weighing 6 lbs 15 ozs and was 20 inches long.

Kisha says that as long as you get proper medical care, having children at a older age is just as safe as having them at a younger age.

Congrats, Kisha!
